A Day of Pink!

I'm currently working on a creation for a doll swap with a most amazing doll artist, and the Doll in question needs a specific type of yarn for her hair, which I only had in white but simply must be pink. So I purchased some more fabric dye and rounded up a few samples of fabric to test out, some ribbon, roses and various other yarns that I either can't use as they are or simply needed pinking up.

Of course I made a mess, which dear hubby was very concerned about (lucky he wasn't here the first time I dyed, it was horrendously messy)  but Ohhhhh so much fun!!!

And we had a gorgeous sunny and windy day today, which was perfect for drying in and I even had enough time to catch up on Downton Abbey while I wound up my balls of yarn with my old singer yarn winder.

I'll have to hold out for the weekend to get stuck into these pretty pink beauties, the kids have Cross Country on tomorrow, so mummy duties call  :)

Pincushion Stack

I fell in love with this pincushion stack that I found at http://elfenpulver.blogspot.com.au/

And I am taking part in an upcoming pinchushion showcase at http://www.facebook.com/littlehoneypie, so I thought I'd make one.....

Short Stack

Although now I love my new pincushion, not sure if I can part with it for the showcase!!! Might have to make another.

Or I could attempt another mini world one, I love them too, but they are quite fiddly and time consuming.

I FINALLY found my password for my blog!!!! I just registered to have it sms'd to me next time that happens. Let's hope it never happens again anyway!

I've been quite busy since my last post, I have a whole heap of this I want to post but will pace them out for now.

I have done 'Marie Antoinette' earlier and have now created another one, I normally would never make the same doll twice but with all of the wigs and dresses that she wore, I could make heaps more......

This one is off to the ball! She is going into the doll show case in November that I mentioned in September, I'm still trying to work out how much to put on her, I was thinking $80? What do you think?

I had another doll that was to go into it as well, but she sold already - a lady saw her and just fell in love with her, and... well I'm not very good at saying no - so she has gone to a new home.

'Livvy'

I miss the girls when they are gone, might have to make one to keep soon!
Well that'll do for today, hope you are all well   -  XOXO

My lil steampunk dolly is coming along nicely.

Well I think so anyway. But I couldn't find my nail files today to sand her head a bit - so I thought I'd attempt to clean up my craft room a bit to see if I can't find them. And...well...... I think I found that I have a bit of a problem collecting doilies!!

I stopped counting when I got to 100!!! eepers - don't tell my husband!  And then of course there are plenty spread around the house actually being used. I honestly do intend to use them  - I promise.
They have so many wonderful uses. I'll show you some of them another day.
